Kia EV9 Debuts: Introducing Three-Row Electric Vehicle Option
The dominance of crossovers in the EV market is logical, given their popularity and practicality. While they may be essentially elevated hatchbacks, they provide ample seating and storage for individuals or small families. However, the progress in electrifying three-row vehicles, which are necessary for larger families or extensive cargo transportation, has been sluggish. Thankfully, the arrival of the Kia EV9 offers a solution, as it can accommodate up to seven passengers and boasts a spacious cargo area.
We had a chance to take the Korean-spec EV9 for the first drive in Korea and while the suspension was a little softer than what we’re used to in the US, there’s a good chance that acceleration will be tweaked to produce more. zip, it delivered the electric car experience we expect from an automaker.
With a target range of up to 300 miles and DC fast charging that Kia says will take the 99.8 kWh battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in about 24 minutes, the automaker has something that should appeal to families looking for a road trip SUV.
